Ed Sheeran was in good, masculine company during his Grammy performance of "Thinking Out Loud." Not only did he recruit fellow love song writer John Mayer, but Herbie Hancock and ?uestlove joined him for the romantic tune as well.
Donning a tux and bow tie, Sheeran sang about love that lasts a lifetime, with Mayer doing that beautiful, weird mouth thing he does while playing a hot pink guitar. The two have been meaning to collaborate ever since Mayer caught Sheeran in concert last year.
Sheeran then took the stage with ELO, who played their hits "Evil Woman" and "Mr. Blue Sky."
The performance had Paul McCartney on his feet, dancing like no one's watching.
But when the former Beatle found out he was being filmed, he quickly sat down, embarrassed.
Don't be ashamed, Paul! I was swooning too! Beyoncé, however, unabashedly grooved to the legendary rock band (after winning Best R&B Performance) while hubby Jay Z rested in his seat beside her.
"Thinking Out Loud" is featured on X, which is up for Album of the Year. Sheeran was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
