The New 'Poltergeist' Trailer Is Here, And It's Just As Terrifying As The Original

GTFO, clowns.

If you still harbor a lingering fear of clowns from any number of classic horror movies, "Poltergeist" included, have we got a treat for you!

The first trailer for the remake of the classic 1982 horror flick has clowns -- and scares -- aplenty. The basic premise of the movie is the same: family moves into a house, but the house isn't quite empty. What's up, poltergeist? Feel like snatching a baby today? Of course you do.

Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt play the unfortunate parents of the Bowen clan, the modern day Freelings, while Saxon Sharbino, Kennedi Clements and Kyle Catlett play their trio of kids. The amount of horrors in the house seems to have multiplied. If you thought the whole TV thing was spooky, just wait until smartphones can unleash their own terrors.

"Poltergeist" hits theaters July 24.
