There's a fine line between awkward and cringe-worthy when it comes to sex scenes, and "Love, Rosie" finds itself somewhere in the middle.
"It's pretty sad," Lily Collins told MTV News during a press day for the film. "Quick and to the point." And once you see it, you can never unsee it.
The unfortunate boning occurs when Rosie (Collins) has an embarrassing one night stand with the hot but inexperienced Greg (Christian Cooke) after a school dance. And yes, it's just as uncomfortable as it sounds.
"I remember it being super awkward because it was the first week of shooting and I just met Christian Cooke, who's lovely, but it's like, 'Okay, now you're just going to get in bed,'" Collins said.
But at least Collins had the support of her costar Sam Clafflin to help her through the difficult scene. "He was in the other room! And you could hear people laughing," said Collins. "It was supposed to be a closed set, but I don't know how closed that was."
Clafflin added, "I was supportive! From afar." Whatever you say, buddy.
"Love, Rosie" hits theaters and On Demand on February 6.
