Ryan Gosling's 'Lost River' Finally Gets A Trailer And Release Date

Watch out, Saoirse Ronan.

This brand new trailer for "Lost River," Ryan Gosling's directorial debut, answers one big question we've been asking about the movie since we started hearing about it: its release date. The movie will hit U.S. theaters April 10, and will be available the same day on digital HD.

The trailer also raised some questions. Many questions. Chief amongst those questions: what's going on? The movie takes place in a split reality, one half in the real world and the other in the surreal dreamland of a crumbling city. The trailer doesn't offer too much clarity on what's going on and how (or if) the leads are going to make it out alive, but it does look like Saoirse Ronan, Eva Mendes, Christina Hendricks and Matt Smith will get to flex their dramatic chops in the flick.

The movie already showed abroad at last year's Cannes Film Festival, and was previously titled "How to Catch a Monster." "Lost River" will have its North American premiere this March at SXSW Film Festival in Austin.

"Lost River" hits theaters April 10.
