UPDATE (2/4/15, 3:08 p.m. ET): The YouTube user has removed this video. We will update if it becomes available again.
You might want to cover your eyes while watching this video of an Australian girl poking a hairy spider that is quite literally as big as her own hand. My whole body is itchy just typing up this post.
The terrifying arachnid that this toddler is so intent on touching is a huntsman spider, according to the video description. Present a few run-of-the-mill adults with this pest-devouring beast, and it'll be a chorus of NOPE, but this kid is grabbing at it like it's an inanimate plush toy, and not a bringer of death, proving that everyone's just a bit more grizzled in Australia.
Also, that's a bold move letting a kid near this creature in the first place. From what I can tell, these spiders generally only bite humans when agitated, and the venom isn't considered dangerous to humans, but still! Might wanna put up the baby gate and transfer this critter outside before bringing in the grabby and curious little tykes.
