No, "Frozen Fever" isn't the medical diagnosis for young children who are obsessed with "Frozen." It's the upcoming Disney short that takes place after the events of "Frozen" -- kind of like a mini-sequel but better because there's birthday cake involved.
The six-minute short, which reunites the entire cast and will show in theaters before Disney's live-action "Cinderella," picks up shortly after the events of the popular animated film. In "Frozen Fever" it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put the enter party at risk when she comes down with a severe cold. Get it? "Frozen Fever."
On Monday (February 2), USA Today debuted five new stills from "Frozen Fever," which give us a glimpse into the kingdom of Arendelle now that it's no longer frozen. As it turns out, it's summertime and Elsa has traded her signature icy blue dress for something a little greener.
Here's what we think is going on in these stills from "Frozen Fever:"
It's Anna's birthday and she just wants to sleep in.
But little does she know Elsa has planned a surprise party.
So Anna and Elsa put on their fancy new dresses...
...While Olaf, who's super psyched it's summer, sneaks a piece of birthday cake.
"Frozen Fever" is directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, and it even features an all-new original song by Oscar-winning duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. (Yes, the same team that gave us "Let It Go.") In other words, prepare to have another massive earworm stuck in your head forever.
