Neil Patrick Harris Is Bringing 'Frozen' To The 2015 Oscars

Find out why NPH can't "let it go."

If you thought 2014 was the year of "Frozen," think again: the Disney animated flick will continue its reign well into 2015 thanks to a very special Oscar-night performance from Neil Patrick Harris. (And, you know, other things.)

On Tuesday (January 27) the 2015 Oscar host announced that Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the Oscar-winning team behind "Frozen," will pen an original multimedia, musical number for him and a few "special guests" -- Josh Gad? Kristen Bell?! Gideon and Harper?!! -- to perform during the big show. And while NPH couldn't get into specifics, he confirmed that the musical sequence would not be a pun on the Academy Award-winning song "Let It Go." (Boo.)

Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron made the announcement Tuesday morning via press release that the Lopezes are currently constructing a sequence called "Moving Pictures." The producers added, "YouTube, get ready!"

Despite their vague description, it sounds like Zadan and Meron are trying to top last year's #OscarSelfie. If there's one dynamic duo that can take on that challenge, it's these two.

The 87th Academy Awards -- now, with more "Frozen!" -- will air on February 22.
