Exclusive: Check Out Shawn Mendes' Debut Album Title & Cover!

Shawn's got a Handwritten message for all of his fans on April 28.

First, Shawn Mendes gave you something big. And now he's ready to give you something huge.

MTV News can exclusively reveal that his debut album which is titled, Handwritten, will be released April 28, 2015. Fans can pre-order the album on iTunes Feb. 2 and will instantly get a download of his brand-new song "A Little Too Much," as well as four other unreleased songs.

But that's not all! We're also giving you your very first look at the album cover, which keeps within the theme of the Shawn's first single, "Something Big," as it's covered with handwritten lyrics from his songs.

But you're not the only one who's probably freaking out. Shawn's pretty ecstatic too: "I'm so excited for my fans to hear this new music, and so I'll be giving them a ton of new music and videos leading into the release," Shawn told us. "These next few months there will be lots of surprises. I put so much hard work into this and am so excited to share it with the world! It really is true to who I am as a writer and artist, and I can't wait for people to hear it."

The album was recorded over the past year on his tour bus and will feature 12 new songs written by Shawn, including his hit single, "Life Of The Party."

The 2015 MTV Artist to Watch singer isn't veering too far off from the sound his fans have grown to love, saying that this new album is going to be "very similar to my old style," but there will be some "surprises."

“There’s almost this rap-sing song, which I think is going be super awesome for my fans to hear," he recently told MTV News. "I really get in-depth. The music is coming from my heart and I think my fans are going to love that; I hope so at least.”

The big news comes just days after Shawn sold out his 14-city headlining tour in just minutes. The tour, which kicks off April 8 in Miami, has him hitting the road just before he begins his run as an opening act on Taylor Swift's 1989 tour.
