A 14-Year-Old Girl Just Became The Youngest Person To Ever Win Gold At The Winter X Games

The kids are all right.

A 14-year-old snowboarder who was once star-struck riding in a chairlift with three-time Olympic medalist Kelly Clark ended up beating her idol in last night's X Games Aspen 2015 superpipe. And in doing so, Chloe Kim just became the youngest Winter X Games gold medalist ever.

Chloe Kim wasn't even born when Clark made her X Games debut 15 years ago, and she was too young to qualify for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, but between this year's win and last year's silver medal in the Winter X Games superpipe, we're pretty sure she'll be blazing a trail through the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Clark, at age 31, was the four-time reigning X Games champion up until last night – she earned silver behind Kim, marking her 10th X Games halfpipe medal. She's now tied with Shaun White for the record in the event.

Check out Kim's insane gold-medal-winning run below, and bow down to the new queen of the snowboarding slopes.
