Is Lil Wayne Preparing To Sue Birdman?

Weezy's dispute with Birdman has gone from Twitter to the courtroom.

The dispute between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records looks like it’s intensifying. TMZ reports that Weezy could be getting ready to sue Birdman for $8 million.

The rapper and his mentor tried working things out this week, but their talks look like they dissolved. Weezy is now going to ask a judge to intervene and grant him freedom from his deal with Cash Money. Of course, Weezy F’s also looking for the release of Tha Carter V.

So why does Birdman owe Wayne those $8 million? According to this report, the money was supposed to be an advance for his last album.

This disagreement hasn’t stopped Wayne from releasing music. Just this week, the world got his Sorry 4 The Wait 2, a project in which Weezy addressed this ongoing fight with Cash Money.

Time will tell if Tha Carter V will be released without the Cash Money logo, but that would be a first. Regardless, we know that this won't be the last Weezy release as it looks like he's got plans for much more in store.

MTV News reached out to a Cash Money representative, but received no word as of press time.
