Meet MTV's Newest Breakout Star: Myrna The Monster

She's new here. Be her friend.

If you're not obsessed with Myrna the Monster, you're about to be.

Myrna, the up-and-coming monster/alien/actress at the center of MTV (Other)'s short film "Myrna the Monster," is your cool new best friend, the girl next door, but with better clothes. Think Mindy Kaling's personality, in a monster's body and with some semi-traumatic memories of her former life on the moon.

Here, take a look at the trailer:

Debuting at the Sundance Film Festival today (January 23), the short was written and directed by Ian Samuels, with music by members of YACHT. And if Myrna sounds a lot like Kathleen Hanna, well, she should.

We're so taken with Myrna that we got her to take a few minutes out of her busy schedule and answer a few of our burning questions. Read on, and get to know her a little better.
