Watch Heavy Metal Heroes Reimagined As 8-Bit Video Game Heroes
You haven't seen Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax until you've seen them in 8-bit.
Rockers have been known to star in their own video games, but the Big Four titans of metal — Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax — never had a video game, even though at their peak these guys had the superhuman power of a level boss. To fix this historical oversight, Loudwire put together a video that re-creates four iconic music videos from the Big Four in 8-bit chiptune form.
Metallica's iconic "One," Slayer's "Raining Blood," Megadeth's "Sweating Bullets" and Anthrax's "Madhouse" all got the 8-bit treatment, turning James Hetfield's growl and Dimebag Darrell's thrasher riffs into compressed computer squiggles.
