Billy Crystal Thinks Some Gay Sex Scenes On TV Are 'Pushing It'

'I hope people don’t abuse it and shove it in our face.'

While some might argue that the more overt lesbian and gay sex scenes hitting TV lately are "great," "a sign of progress" or even just "f--king hot," they might be too much for Billy Crystal.

"Sometimes, it's just pushing it a little too far for my taste," the actor told attendees at a recent Television Critics Association press tour stop for his upcoming FX series, "The Comedians." "I hope people don't abuse it and shove it in our face... to the point where it feels like an [everyday] kind of thing."

The question likely came up because Crystal, who is straight, played Jodie Dallas on "Soap," one of TV's first openly gay characters.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that his words were #takenoutofcontext, but still...

This gay sex GIF from "How To Get Away With Murder" goes out to Billy Crystal.
