Sometimes it feels good to go back home. There's a comfort in retiring to the place where it all began, where your journey kicked off and you figured out who you are and what you're all about.
From the looks of it, Lady Gaga is totally in that headspace right now. After exploding on the scene in 2008 with The Fame, thanks to such hits as "Just Dance," "LoveGame" and "Poker Face," she seems to have reunited with the producer who helped make her the world's Mother Monster.
Hitmaker RedOne (who also helped Gaga create "Bad Romance," "Alejandro," "Monster" on 2009's The Fame Monster) is gazing lovingly at Gaga in a picture she posted on Thursday of the two sharing a piano bench in a studio.
Earlier in the day, she posed in front of her shiny new muscle car, teasing that she was "off to the studio in my new whip."
"To see an old friend."
The best news of all is that after the somewhat disappointing reaction to 2013's ArtPop (which featured just one co-writing credit for Red), Gaga is suffering from insomnia again thanks to her excitement over the new songs she's writing and recording.
"Basically I can't sleep without every single song I'm writing repeating endlessly, but I'm loving it again," she wrote on Thursday. "Embracing the torture, as I'm assaulted by my own thoughts. Like a locust giving birth to earworms. Eeeeew!"
Earworms and locusts never sounded so delicious.
