2 Chainz Keeps It All The Way T.R.U. On 'Road Dawg': Listen Now

This is for my road dawg.

2 Chainz knows a thing or two about striking while the iron’s hot.

Less than 24 hours after his impassioned debate with Nancy Grace went viral, the marijuana advocate feeds the streets with his latest banger, “Road Dawg.”

The DJ Spinz-produced track, which serves as the intro to the artist formerly known as Tity Boi’s upcoming mixtape, T.R.U. Jack City, buoys the Atlanta rapper’s signature flow with a bass-heavy trap beat that feels truuuuu to his sonic roots.

After laying down the song’s chorus, which shouts out his homies in a “real n---a roll call,” the “Trap House Stalkin” MC keeps it all the way real in his closing memorandum.

“Naw for real, all my ni--as locked up, deserve to be home, did that time, my auntie damn near done done 30 years, deserve to be home, did that time, you understand me? N---as really locked up on the streets, man, you damn near 40 and ain’t got no bank account, you dig? That shoebox, you know what I mean, is gettin’ old,” he says.

T.R.U. Jack City, which is hosted by DJ E Sudd and features his artists Cap 1, Skooly, Fresh (aka Short Dawg), Young Dolph and Bankroll Fresh, is slated for a December 27 release.

Until then, hold it down, Auntie!
