All Time Low just put out what is an early contender for the MOST WHACKED-OUT VIDEO OF THE YEAR. Believe me -- the all-caps = necessary.
After premiering their new jam, "Something's Gotta Give," on BBC Radio 1 Monday, All Time Low dropped the accompanying Chris Marrs Piliero-directed visuals for the track, from their upcoming sixth studio album, Future Hearts, due out April 7.
The video starts out pretty benign -- with lead singer Alex Gaskarth laid out in the street in a French fry costume in what seems to be an homage to Blur's iconic milk carton in their "Coffee & TV" video.
After wriggling to his feet, Alex tries to chat up some pretty girls and friends, who shrink away in in horror, fleeing from his fried form.
We start to suspect that maybe his loserdom is the repellant factor here (he is dressed as fast food) -- what with his impassioned cries of "Something's gotta give!" and all -- but after Alex catches his reflection in a mirror... well, everything becomes clear.
We won't give too much away, but let's just say everyone else aside from Alex become fast -- but not fast enough -- food.
