Kendrick Lamar Says Everyone Should Let Iggy Azalea Do Her Thing

Kendrick comes to Iggy's defense.

Iggy Azalea has found herself in the middle of a passionate and ongoing conversation about cultural appropriation in hip-hop, and Kendrick Lamar is the latest rapper to weigh in -- in her defense.

The discussion, centered around Iggy, heated up when Azealia Banks threw some scathing words her way about her place in hip-hop, and continued with Q-Tip using a lengthy Twitter session to explain to her the importance of hip-hop's origins.

Surprisingly enough, Lupe Fiasco stepped up to defend Iggy and now Kendrick is doing the same.

“She’s doing her thing,” he said in an interview with Billboard. “Let her. People have to go through trials and tribulations to get where they at. Do your thing, continue to rock it, because obviously God wants you here.”

I'm pretty sure that this conversation will continue well into Grammy season, since the Australian rapper is nominated for Best Rap Album, with The New Classic.
