Metta World Peace Is Freaking Out That Nicki Minaj Mentioned Him In 'Trini Dem Girls'

He even changed his last name to Minaj for a while to commemorate the occasion.

What would you do if Nicki Minaj mentioned you on a song?

Former NBA star Metta World Peace, who was known as Ron Artest before his 2011 name change, can answer this question. Nicki mentioned him on "Trini Dem Girls," a cut off the rapper's latest album, The Pinkprint.

"He in love with a ghetto girl," she rhymes on the song. "He said he want a piece like Metta World."

So, how did Metta respond?

World Peace, who is also a rapper, even decided to change his name in honor of Nicki for a couple of days.

Nicki enjoyed Metta's comments so much she put one on Instagram.

Nicki and Metta are both from Queens, New York and they are both named Minaj (for now). Could there be a collab in the future?
