The Hollywood pay gap is a well-known plague upon female actresses and women working in the film industry, but this year, Lawrence ended up beating out Chris Pratt to become the highest-grossing actor of 2014.

With the combined revenue of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and, of course, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1," which raked in a cool $1.4 billion combined in box office sales for the year.

Pratt was the runner-up with $1.2 billion from the combined films "Guardians Of The Galaxy" and "The Lego Movie." Scarlett Johansson ("Lucy," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier") is third with $1.18 billion, Mark Wahlberg is fourth due mostly to the success of "Transformers: Age Of Extinction" earning $1 billion even, and Chris Evans finished off the top five with $801 million from "Snowpiercer" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
