These days, remixes are usually more like an extension of the original song: The beat and the original artist's part remain intact, and some new vocal additions from features are the only real changes.
Detail, who, along with Bobby Johnson, produced the original, teamed up with French Montana for the new release. He flips the beat, giving the track a renewed feel, which is bolstered by French's intermittent vocals. We actually don't get a fully rapped verse from the Bad Boy signee; instead, he's chanting "fresher than you" throughout, and sings his way through a quick verse at the end.
This time around, Detail, who was also responsible for the production on Bey's hit "Drunk in Love," gave the cut a bit of a more mellow vibe. Check it out below.
