David Schwimmer Will Defend O.J. Simpson... As A Kardashian

There is now one degree of separation between 'Friends' and 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians'

David Schwimmer will soon be keeping up with the Kardashians.

FX has an O.J. Simpson miniseries in the works, and Schwimmer will be filling the shoes of reality TV family patriarch Robert Kardashian.

Kardashian – who died of esophageal cancer in 2003 – acted as Simpson's defense attorney during his infamous 1995 murder trial. The 10-episode miniseries – titled "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson” – will also star Cuba Gooding Jr. as Simpson and Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark.

The miniseries will focus on the lawyers' perspective of the trial, which means Schwimmer will have ample opportunity to exercise his post-Ross Geller dramatic chops.

The likeness is certainly uncanny – here's Robert Kardashian...

We're curious to see how children Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Robert Jr. react to the news – production on the FX series begins in early 2015, so perhaps it'll be fodder for discussion in the 10th season of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
