Rihanna Is Puma's New Creative Director

So, um, Rihanna has been named creative director of Puma. While there were rumors circulating last month of a deal being inked, the news was confirmed this morning by WWD and Puma. Rih is going to oversee the women's line, and will help "customize classic Puma styles as well as create new styles to add to the Puma product portfolio," Puma revealed today.

Rih teased the news on Instagram this morning, captioning this photo, "Hello #PUMA." Man, this explains why she was so into Germany at the World Cup, eh?

She also shared a photo of Puma Creepers, which is, obviously, a new look for the sportswear brand. Rih's role will "take a hands-on approach" to updating the apparel, as well as the shoes. I may not be able to, like, run in these sneakers, but IDGAF.

Rih will also act as the company's global brand ambassador and star in the Fall 2015 ad campaign. It's a multi-year partnership, so here's hoping for a ton of new campaign images—the walls in my apartment could stand to be wallpapered, y'know?

Not that it's really that important, but uh, does this mean Rihanna is Solange's boss now? ICYMI, Solange is already an art director and creative consultant at Puma, which means that company has maybe the coolest staff in the world? And they're currently looking for Apparel Designers, sooooo just sayin'.
