If you’ve ever looked at someone and wondered what he or she was thinking, you’re not the only one. Disney/Pixar's “Inside Out” gives us an imaginative answer to that burning question.
In a teaser trailer for the upcoming animated film, we go inside the mind of Riley, a little girl trying to navigate her new life in San Francisco after her father’s job uproots the family from their cozy life in the Midwest.
A new city, house and school -- it’s enough to make Riley’s emotions, a.k.a. Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith), go completely haywire while having Chinese takeout with Mom and Dad.
“What is your problem?” she says to her father. “Just leave me alone!”
“Sir, reporting high levels of sass,” says the father’s inner emotions.
Things escalate between the two characters’ “Headquarters,” until Riley’s father has no choice but to go to DEFCON 2, which, of course, means putting his foot down.
“Just shut up!” yells Riley.
Riley’s outburst results in being sent to her room.
“The foot is down, the foot is down,” says the father’s emotional team. “Woo!”
The Disney/Pixar feature hits theaters on June 19, 2015.
