Miley Cyrus Performs New Track Inspired By Friend's Cat: Watch Now

A dream inspired Miley's 'The Twinkle Song.'

Disco pasties, a glitter wig, a stripper shirt and a new song?!

Fans certainly got more than they bargained for at Miley Cyrus' Art Basel performance in Miami last week.

The singer, whose fourth studio album, Bangerz, was just nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, nervously performed a brand-new track, "The Twinkle Song," for the Florida crowd.

"I've never played by myself up on a stage before and I've never played a song I've only played in my living room before, so I'm a little nervous."

Miley, who also performed that night with BFF Wayne Coyne, also explained what inspired the slow-tempo song: the death of her friend's cat.

"I write about death a lot randomly," she explained. "My friend, she lost her cat, and I had these crazy dreams the night that her cat died. So, I feel like her cat kind of told me what I was supposed to say to her to get through it, and it was more therapy to me than anything."

Watch Miley perform the somber song, while playing the piano, below, though be forewarned that she does say "f--k up" on the NSFW track. But, guess what? She doesn't "give a f--k."
