Plastering rap quotes all over your social media accounts is cool, but painting them on a public wall in New York City is way cooler.

Street artist Jay Shells recently teamed up with JMZ Walls to tag a street corner in Brooklyn with lyrics from Mos Def's "Mathematics." The large, red and white mural is a continuation of Shells' "The Rap Quotes" street sign project, where the young creative posts signs -- containing popular rap quotes pertaining to a spot in a city -- in the exact place those lyrics mention.

In this case, Mos Def references: "I'm blacker than midnight on Broadway and Myrtle."

Shells has taken this project bicoastal, posting Warren G lyrics in L.A. and Notorious B.I.G. lines

around BK.

If you're in the area, you can visit the mural for yourself at the intersection of Myrtle Ave. and Broadway in Bushwick/Bed-Stuy.
