Are Demi Lovato And Miley Cyrus Still Friends?

The 'Really Don't Care' singer talked to a Boston radio station about the status of her friendship with fellow Disney kid Cyrus.

A great prophet once said: "As our lives change, come whatever, we will still be friends forever." But, it looks like Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus aren't big Vitamin C fans.

The "Really Don't Care" singer was speaking to Boston's 103.3 AMP radio (go Pats) on Monday (Nov.24) about her skincare line, Devonne By Demi, when a caller asked her what her relationship was like with America's favorite li'l Dirty Hippie.

"Um, yeah," Demi answered, "That, um... We're... We're, like, we're acquaintances." Do you hear that? That's the sound of your Disney Channel-obsessed childhood shattering into a million little pieces.

But seriously, Ms. Demetria D. gave a very mature explanation for why she and the recent birthday girl are no longer as close as they once were. "It's life, and people change. And, you know, I don't have anything in common with her anymore, and I wish her all the best."

As an ancient old person a wise twenty-something who still totally gets carded, let me just say that Demi's totally right. Some friends stay with you as you continue down the road of ~life, and some don't -- and there's nothing wrong with that.

The AMP hosts inferred that Demi, who is now sober after battling addiction for years, probably parted ways with Miley over the latter's love of partying. It should be noted that Demi never explicitly said that herself.

Speaking to MTV News back in 2013, Demi said: "[Miley] knows how I feel about the whole partying thing." She added: "I care for her so much that I'm so protective, but she's good. She's got a good head on her shoulders."
