The Alternate Version Of Eminem's 'Lose Yourself' Has Completely Different Lyrics
There's no shortage of Eminem right now. In addition to dropping his ShadyXV album on November 24, there's also a 66-track Shady Records mixtape on the way, and that will include this little gem.
Earlier in the week Em teased a snippet of a previously unreleased version of his smash "Lose Yourself" (which he doesn't even remember recording), and on Thursday (November 20), we finally got the full thing.
The beat remains the same, but right off the bat, you can tell that the lyrics are completely different. Nothing here about being nervous or vomiting up Mom's spaghetti. It's definitely strange hearing an alternate version of this track, but obviously Em is still spitting his face off.
"If I was frozen inside of a moment/ If I could capture time inside a capsule/ An hourglass full of sand in the palm of my hand, it passes through/ If I can grasp it, just control what happens to it/ Then I can trap it, so no more time elapses through it," he raps.
"If raps could do it, maybe I could tap into it/ Then I could try to channel it through Cadillacs and Buicks," he continues.
Listen to the full track above. In other news, he offended Iggy Azalea with a lyric about rape in his upcoming song "Vegas." Just a day in the life for Shady.
