Heidi Montag is practically screaming from the rooftops that she's ready to be a mommy -- but can the same be said for her former pal Lauren Conrad?

The always-stylish "Hills" alum, who recently debuted a new bob, stopped by E! News on Tuesday to dish about her two fashion lines as well as married life with hubby William Tell. But, naturally, after chatting about how being a wife is "great," the interview with Giuliana Rancic and Ali Fedotowsky quickly veered toward baby talk.

So the million dollar question is, will we see any teeny-tiny Laurens or Williams in the not-so-distant future?

"I literally am working on my thank-you notes still, so..." the etiquette queen said, while making the "time out" gesture. "Let's take a minute."

That LC -- she always knows how to answer every question perfectly. Reminds us of her epic "CEO" response.

But back to Tell munchkins. The "L.A. Candy" author did reveal that she'd like to have a child some day, adding with a big grin, "I hope so."

Well, when the carefree California lady is ready to be the coolest mama in town, we have no doubt she'll impart plenty of important life-lessons. Oh, and dress that kid to the nines.
