Nick Jonas Trades Crotch-Grabbing For Something Even More Intimate On New Album

'Nick Jonas' is now streaming ahead of its November 10 release.

We've seen a lot of Nick Jonas over the past couple months -- literally. But as necessary and culturally significant as those chest-baring, junk-grabbing Flaunt magazine photos were, the "Jealous" singer manages to get even more revealing on his self-titled new album.

His debut LP as a solo artist, Nick Jonas -- out November 10, but streaming early on Rolling Stone -- finds the onetime member of the Jonas Brothers puffing his chest as jealousy rises, discovering desire and fighting to swallow his pride as he works through all the interpersonal messiness that a relationship can bring.

"In making this record, I really allowed myself to be vulnerable and open up emotionally," the 22-year-old told RS, adding, "It's like starting over as a brand new artist."

And like Taylor Swift on her recently released, platinum-selling 1989 (Never heard of it!), Nick mines past decades of music for inspiration to make this statement of self-reinvention, all the while keeping his sound current with pulsing synth-scapes and lilting R&B melodies.

Nick Jonas features collaborations with rapper/singer Angel Haze ("Numb") and longtime pal Demi Lovato ("Avalanche"), and, if there is a God, Tinashe's "Jealous" remix will make the album cut, as well. Look for the album this coming Monday -- and don't miss Nick's performance on the 2014 MTV EMA kickoff on Sunday -- or get an early listen via the link below.
