'Grand Theft Auto V' Is Getting A First-Person Mode: Take That 'Call Of Duty'

This is not a drill.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Rockstar Games chose the day of release for "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" to announce that when the current-gen edition of the game hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, it will have a first-person mode.

Don't believe me? Watch the footage.

I think the most striking thing about the gameplay is that Rockstar clearly hasn't taken the easy way out with the new camera angle. What could have been just a cheap gimmick to sell a year-old game instead looks like something that will significantly affect how the game is played.

By tacking on the view mode to an already massive game, "Grand Theft Auto V" has really made the new version something that could be worth a double dip, if you already own the game.

And just think about what amazing things will happen when it's modded for Oculus Rift.
