The 'True Detective' Season Two Casting Mysteries Continue To Unravel

Kelly Reilly of 'Black Box' has reportedly signed on for a regular role in the series.

The “True Detective” casting is picking up steam.

According to Deadline, four new names have been added to the roster for the HBO original series' upcoming second season: Kelly Reilly, Abigail Spencer, Leven Rambin and Michael Irby.

Reilly, known for her role in “Black Box," will play a character named Morgan, while Abigail Spencer of “Suits” will play Alicia, a sexual assault survivor.

Rambin (“The Tomorrow People”) will bring drug-addled Sophia and Irby (“Almost Human”) will portray McAdam’s partner, Elvis.

Reilly is the only regular on the series, while Irby, Rambin and Spencer will be recurring characters.

The first table read for the show, which already has Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch, Rachel McAdams and Vince Vaughn lined up to replace the Emmy-nominated Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, starts Friday (October 31)

“True Detective” is set to premiere in summer 2015 on HBO.
