Way back in 2006, when we first met the SoCal native on "The Hills," she was a wide-eyed college student interning at Teen Vogue with Lauren Conrad. The ladies’ friendship quickly blossomed -- that'll happen when you’re working long hours backstage at the industry's hottest events and runway shows -- and the blond buddies began to socialize outside of Lisa Love’s offices. They had a wild ride: Whitney took Lauren's place to go to the City of Lights -- and became the girl who did go to Paris -- and the pair often hit up Tinseltown’s finest establishments in between quick jaunts to The Big Apple. And through it all, they managed to laugh their way through some pretty awkward scenarios -- and always live it up.
Now, as part of #TBT, we're celebrating the former MTV darling by taking a look at some of our favorite old-school photographs of her. Check them out -- and let us know if you miss the “Hills” and “City” days!
Looking office-chic, probably after a long day of steaming designer clothing and stuffing envelopes for a big soiree:
Working that mesh top...
...and those gams in a metallic mini-frock:
Ready for a dip on pool day:
Reclining for a photo op:
At a garden party fit for queens:
OWNING the moment in front of a simple backdrop:
Saying goodbye to this stunning view of the City of Angels...
...and hello to the Big Apple:
Being a bona fide New Yorker who's become a pro at hailing cabs...
..and trying out the most popular clubs since Les Deux is but a memory:
Rocking it in the Empire State (but why so glum, Olivia Palermo?)
Flipping those long luxurious locks...
...and clearly wanting to model ALL the designs on this rack:
With the East Coast crew:
In a "New York State of Mind" with the girls -- just like Billy Joel crooned:
Adore you, Whit!
