Lil' Kim, Missy Elliott And Da Brat Plan Another Ladies Night

Go ladies.

By Christopher Harris

Oh what a night. On Monday (October 27) BET and CENTRIC announced that hip-hop heroines Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliott and Da Brat will reunite to perform their 1997 single "Not Tonight" at the 2014 Soul Train Awards, which will air on November 30.

"Not Tonight” originally appeared on Lil Kim’s debut album Hard Core, but was rereleased with a new beat and verses from Kim, Da Brat, Missy, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Angie Martinez and retagged the “Ladies Night Remix.” They all took the stage to perform the iconic track for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1997 and this year, they’ll return to the stage, but without Power 105.1’s Martinez and Lopes, who passed away in 2002.

While the track is a welcomed throwback, the "Ladies Night" MCs have been making noise of late. Last month, Kim released there latest mixtape, Hard Core 2k14, and Missy has recently reemerged for a slew of performances, including a spotting at Alexander Wang’s H&M collection debut.

The reunion will take place November 7 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The 2014 Soul Train Awards will air on BET Networks and CENTRIC, November 30 at 8p.m. EST.
