The All American High School Film Festival is back with its 2014 selection of impressive shorts made by brilliant young filmmakers.

Every year, the festival honors shorts from across genres, and this year the field features some vastly different movies that share the common thread of being made by filmmakers way ahead of their peers.

"Sloppy Seconds" - by Hayden Rusk

This surreal music video makes great use of special effects to create an expressionistic portrait of a trouble relationship.

Learn about the rigid routine of a man named Buster in this quirky comedy about taking risks.

The fest kicks off in earnest today (October 24) with an opening night party in New York City. There are panels and screenings all day on October 25 with awards coming shortly after that.
