For a dude who's been behind bars since the summer, Meek Mill sounds like he's in good spirits.
On Thursday, the Maybach Music Group MC called August Alsina, and the singer used it as an opportunity to let Meek speak to his fans. August posted a short clip of the conversation on Instagram.
"Ayo, what's up. It's your boy Meek Milly right here," he said over the phone. "Me and August kickin' it, talking this real young n---a sh--; talking about how I gotta do it when I get back there. One love to everybody holding it down."
The "No Love" singer gave a few more details about their convo in his caption on the post.
"Squad kalled from that sh-- hole... Good to hear & feel a smile on em thru it all," he wrote. "I tol em God sat us down differently but at the end of it all he SAT US DOWN! He said Exactly! We jus gotta know/recognize when da Man giving you a chance to get your sh-- in order then Come back stronger then ever."
Meek's sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, was originally set to be out already, but with the recent legal troubles, it's been put on hold. But MMG founder Rick Ross assured fans last month that it'll be worth the wait.
"MMG and Meek Mill have decided to release Dreams Worth More Than Money at a future date," he said. "In true MMG fashion, Meek has dedicated himself to perfecting his sophomore project and it is only right that it should be rolled out exceptionally well."
