RZA Drops A Crazy Freestyle In The Middle Of Our Interview

Wu-Tang forever.

Reporting by James Lacsina

You have to be razor sharp to make it as an MC in Wu-Tang Clan. When the nine-member crew recorded their first LP 21 years ago, they would have storied rap battles among each other to determine which rappers would make it on a particular song. It seems like not much changed during the recording of the Clan's upcoming December 2 album A Better Tomorrow.

MTV News caught RZA on October 3, and during our interview, he recalled one time when Inspectah Deck questioned his lyric choice on a song they recorded for the new project. Feeling like he had to prove himself, RZA says he rapped for an hour straight.

Clearly, RZA is a lyric machine because he stopped mid-interview and gave us a freestyle without us even asking for one. Check the video below.
