Miley Cyrus Repped One Of Australia's Craziest Designers This Weekend

While in Australia. #localsonly

Miley Cyrus has been on her Bangerz Tour since February. Sure, she's changed up her looks a number of times, but she just kicked off the Australian leg of the tour and her latest performance threads are pretty different than their predecessors. They are also, appropriately, designed by Australian label Di$count Universe.

Miley rolled into the country wearing the brand—she posted a photo from the plane wearing DU’s “The Choice Is Yours” crewneck.

It wasn’t until she got off the plane that it was actually revealed she was wearing an entire DU outfit, complete with sequined sweatpants. Fancy sweatpants are the perfect combination for traveling in both comfort and ~luxury~, IMHO.

Miley’s first performance in Oz was in Melbourne, which, fittingly, is Discount Universe’s hometown. She wore a sheer, yet heavily embellished "tattoo" shirt, and a pair of sequin and rhinestone encrusted bottom that consisted of fancy basketball shorts over what looks like the remnants of Robin Thicke’s pants from their, um, memorable performance at the 2013 VMAs.

Miley then headed to Sydney, but kept up her DU representation, wearing a sequined leotard and sparkly tube socks. I never knew socks could even be sequined, but here we are. Glitter on glitter, y’all.

The sparkling cherry on top of the look, though, has to be Miley’s green gem-laden coat, which has “Hello Sydney” written in plain ol’ letters. JK, it’s written in gold sequins. SURPRISE!

This isn’t the first time Miley has worn Discount Universe—she wore one of their graphic digital print t-shirts last year for a photo shoot with Terry Richardson—but it is the first time she’s taken her love for the brand on stage. Considering their affinity for sequins, crop tops, and totally captivating prints, it makes total sense for them to team up with Miley. And considering the relationships she's cultivated with other sparkle-loving designers across the globe (namely New York's The Blonds and London's Ashish), I have a feeling she’ll be wearing their swag long after she leaves Australia.
