No diva drama here!
Ariana Grande has been the subject of some negative press this year, with reports alleging that the pop superstar has a bit of a diva attitude behind the scenes. But according to her friend, and "Bang Bang" collaborator, Jessie J, that couldn't be further from the truth.
"She's super talented, she's very young, and she's very sure of what she wants," Jessie told US Weekly. "I think she’s wonderful. She’s great."
The British pop star, whose album Sweet Talker drops on Tuesday, went on to explain that sometimes a person’s attitude can be misinterpreted.
"I always say, 'Judge a person when you meet them,' " Jessie added. "I’ve met Ariana, and there’s a very thin line between 'diva' and 'survival.' And a lot of people can’t [differentiate that] -- and I’ve had that. I've had the diva stuff [directed at me]. And it’s [used] when people can’t cope with how passionate you are, and how much you care."
Ariana recently shut down reports that she had thrown some backstage fits, taking to Twitter to kill them with kindness and "laugh out loud" over their ridiculousness.
