Of the four songs Big Sean dropped together last month, "I Don't F--k With You" sure sounded like the breakup anthem. But the video for "Paradise," which he released on Thursday (October 9), seems to tell its own story of a strained relationship.
The dark Mike Carson-directed visuals match the sound of the Mike Will Made It-produced beat, as Sean and a lady friend are shown inside an expensive car with rain sprinkling the windshield.
She looks none too pleased with him -- though the Detroit rapper doesn't seem particularly bubbly, either. Then they head inside to a motel room (but romance seems like the furthest thing from either of their minds) before she leaves to go wait for him in the car.
It certainly doesn't look like paradise.
Luckily for Sean, his current relationship seems to be going better than the one in the video.
He and Ariana Grande locked lips on the Revenge Of The Mummy ride at Universal Studios in Hollywood earlier this week. And Sean recently told MTV News he and the singer go well together.
“Me and her make a lot of music together and the chemistry between me and her when we work is great,” he said. “We got more in the works too. I feel like her voice is crazy, [just] that that big voice comes out of her is insane. I was probably one of the first people to tweet about her music; me and her been friends for years before anything else.”
