Batten down the hatches, duck for cover, and set Life Alert bracelets to, um, alerted because Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran have both been added to the 2014 MTV EMA performers' roster, and this news is seriously not a drill. It's real life.
On Sunday, November 9, the "Break Free" singer and the "Don't" crooner will take the stage at MTV's annual awards show honoring the hottest music from all over the globe. They join previously announced performer Nicki Minaj, who will also host the EMA live from the SSE Hydro arena in Glasgow, Scotland.
Speaking of the 2014 EMA, Ariana is nominated in six different EMA categories: Best Song for "Problem" featuring Iggy Azalea, Best Pop, Best Female, Best New, Best Push and Biggest Fans. Ed, meanwhile, is up for a respectable two himself: Best Male and Best U.K. & Ireland Act. A win for either would mark their first-ever EMA.
The 2014 EMA will air on MTV channels worldwide, with the U.S. telecast kicking off in Miami at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
We've still got over a month to go until Grande and Sheeran slay the EMA stage, but I swear I can already see it now...
I can see it now!
Ariana will take the stage, giving us major vocals.
And maybe even a few surprises!
That's why her hair is so big (and flawless). It's full of secrets (and flawlessness).
Then Ed will come onstage...
...For the most beautiful performance you've ever witnessed.
Literally, no words.
So ready to fall in love with him (and Ariana!) all over again.
