“Once Upon a Time” kicked off with a chilly start in the Season 4 premiere, “A Tale of Two Sisters.” It was triple the Disney in the episode, too — not only did we meet “Frozen” sisters Elsa and Anna, but we also got a sweet “Beauty and the Beast” dance scene and a glimpse at a potential Mickey Mouse moment in the future.
Though we were satisfied by Regina’s quest to find a happy ending and Emma and Hook’s kiss, we still have a lot of questions about what’s happening in Storybrooke. Read on to see all of the things that still have us scratching our heads.
1. Who is the author of Henry's fairy tale book?
Since August is dead (R.I.P., wooden friend), no one can ask him about the author. So, how will Regina locate him or her?
2. Are Snow and Charming taking a backseat this season?
We understand that stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas were busy taking care of their real-life newborn baby, but the premiere hardly featured them at all. Will Mary Margaret and David sit down this season instead of getting in the action?
3. Is Robin really going to choose boring Marian over Regina? He’s her true love!
Marian is frankly really boring and Robin and Regina have incredible chemistry. Can he and Marian just get a divorce? Because he’s Regina’s true love.
4. What would Emma and Hook watch on Netflix?
We’re guessing “Orange Is the New Black” rather than marathons of “Gilmore Girls,” but maybe he’s a softie?
5. Is Elsa good or evil? How did she get through the portal?
Elsa seems to be using her powers because she’s scared, just like she did in “Frozen.” But is she truly evil or good? And how did she get through the time portal? Was she in the Enchanted Forest poking around looking for Anna?
6. What happened to Anna during the curse? Is she alive? Is Kristoff?
Since Anna was in the Enchanted Forest when the curse happened (or at least it seems that way), where did she go? Is she hiding somewhere in Storybrooke? With the timeline, we’re not sure if Kristoff is still alive, but hopefully they’ll reunite.
7. Where the heck is Olaf?
Okay, we understand it’s hard to have a CGI snowman hanging out, but if they could have a rock troll and a version of Sven, can we please have Olaf pop up soon?
8. How much Mickey Mouse will we see on “Once Upon a Time”?
After Mr. Gold found the hat from “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” segment of “Fantasia,” we suddenly pictured Mickey Mouse coming to town. Will that happen, or will it be a general “Fantasia” storyline coming up?
9. Will Rumplestiltskin fully give up control of the Dark One dagger? Will he tell Belle about his lies?
Mr. Gold swapped out his fake Dark One dagger in Belle’s bag, but then he took out the real one to use later that night. Will he fully give up control of it now, or will he keep stealing it now and again? And will he ‘fess up to Belle about his lies, or will he keep them locked up instead?
