After "Awkward" cheating scandals, breaches of trust and typical couple troubles, Jenna Hamilton and Matty McKibben certainly know how to fall apart. But thankfully, they've also got a talent for coming back together again.

Over the years in Palos Hills, the on-and-off lovebirds have split, then kissed and made up, more times than we can count -- but their current tension over Eva's true identity has proven to be a significant roadblock. Jenna wants to protect Matty from the compulsive liar, Matty thinks Jenna needs to back off and -- oh yeah -- MATTY MIGHT SOON BE THE FATHER OF EVA'S CHILD. Jatty have always been able to mend fences -- even if it's in an exclusively friendly capacity -- but could their current mess undo all the progress they've made?

Knocker Nightmare Ends

Way back in Season 1, a particularly cruel Sadie Saxton snapped a photo of Jenna topless and posted it around school. To add insult to injury, Jenna then heard Matty -- with whom she'd just lost her virginity -- criticizing the shot. Devastated, Jenna hid out in her bedroom, but thankfully, Matty swooped in to console her and explained he only belittled the pics to get people to stop talking about them. Aww?

Birthday Hero Comes to the Rescue

When your best friend has told you off in truly cold fashion and your crush insists a romance can never be, a 16th birthday can feel less like a milestone and more like hell. And though Matty couldn't do much about Jenna's fight with Tamara, he could at least apologize to Jenna for making her feel slighted -- and admit his feelings ran more deeply than he led her to believe.

Being Perfectly Imperfect

Jealousy has the potential to ruin a relationship, and when Matty got the impression that Jenna preferred hanging out with Jake, he couldn't hide his envy. But Jenna put Matty's worries to rest when she explained that she was simply afraid of seeming imperfect around her ideal guy, and assured him she'd work on being more forthright.

Offering a Shoulder to Cry On

Surprised that Matty was able to forgive Jenna for cheating with the devious Collin? You're not alone. But when Collin proved what a slimeball he could be and hung Jenna out to dry, Matty dropped everything to rescue his friend -- and proved he'd be there through thick and thin.

Sharing One Last Dance

Walking on eggshells became a standard method of transportation for Matty and Jenna after the blogger's downward spiral, but Matty's prom date Bailey thought the legendary PHHS couple could get back on solid ground with a dance. Jatty's views on a future didn't necessarily align, but at the very least, a cards-on-the-table chat definitely lifted the tension.
