This Canadian City Just Set The World Record For Most People Dressed As Batman
The world has seen its share of Batman movies, comics, and cartoons, but it's never had quite so many Dark Knights in the same place at once.
Employees of an energy company in Calgary, Alberta, just set the world record for most Batmen in an effort to raise money for charity.
A total of 542 Nexen Energy employees swarmed downtown Calgary dressed as Batman last Thursday (September 18) to kick off the company's United Way campaign.
Luckily, the Guinness Book of World Records was there to inspect everyone's costumes and officially confirm that Nexen broke the world record for "Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Batman." They more than doubled the previous record, which stood at just 250 Batmen.
Calgary residents posted snapshots of the Batman swarm to Twitter, including a few who reported that the gathering quickly turned into a massive superhero dance party.
