These Ukrainians Stuffed A Politician Into A Trash Can Because They Thought New Legislation Was Garbage

That's one way to show your disapproval.

While most Americans like to joke around about the terrible things they'd do if they came face to face with a hated elected politician, Ukrainians took their beef with the government into their own hands ... literally. An angry mob grabbed a member of the Ukrainian parliament threw him head-first into a trash bin, and it was all caught on video.

In the newly publicized footage, a group of men hold Vitaly Zhuravsky down, cover his face and then rock the bin back and forth while the politician struggles to escape. The crowd was reacting to recent legislation that called for the pardoning of Eastern Ukraine's pro-Russian rebels; that law came alongside the newly granted right to self-rule for those separatists.

Check out the video footage here.

It's been almost a year since protests started in Independence Square over then-president Viktor Yanukovych's initial move away from the EU and toward Russia. His decision led to his removal from the presidency and countrywide violence.

Conflict has escalated throughout Ukraine over the past few months, and the legislation reached on Tuesday doesn't seem to be leading to any resolution. With amnesty and self-rule granted to rebel separatists, it appears instead that Eastern Ukraine is on its way to becoming its own state.
