When you've got a decades-long celebrated career in film under your belt like actress Naomi Watts does, you don't have to join in on any old project that comes along. You can pick and choose, throwing your efforts behind only the films you deem worthy.
So what made Watts decide to sign on for a three-film commitment in the "Divergent" franchise? In short, the kids.
At the Toronto International Film Festival, Watts told MTV News that she was so impressed by the young cast of "Divergent" that when the opportunity arose, she jumped at the chance to be a part.
"They're such lovely people," she said of the cast, calling them "wildly, wildly talented."
Watts will portray Evelyn, the leader of the rebel faction and a mysterious presence in Four's life.
"Insurgent," the next film in the series, hits theaters March 20, 2015.
