As Jenelle and Nathan prepare for the arrival of their first child together, the two are talking about parental duties -- and how their own folks will fit into the equation.
"You know it's one thing for them to help out and for our child to listen to them, but at the same time, we're the parents -- not them," he says.
Jenelle agrees with her beau. "I mean, they can help here and there, but you're not gonna be here all the time," she says, as though she's speaking to the grandparents. "You're not gonna have them all the time."
Nathan also expresses that he would like his and Jenelle's behavior to change: There can't be any cursing or fighting in front of the children. And that prompts Jenelle to bring up how she feels Jace is being treated at her mother's house.
"It's already bad enough that he's at my mom's -- like, being yelled at all the time," she says. "And I'm not putting down her parenting skills or anything. They're good, it's just that she's like the way she used to treat me. She's just very negative."
Watch Jenelle and Nathan discuss how Jace's behavior is different when he's at their home, as well as their hopes for the future -- and be sure to catch a new episode of "Teen Mom 2" on Wednesday at 10/9c.
