'Frozen' Is Officially Getting A Short Sequel

Disney just can't let it go.

The Walt Disney Company has a fever, and the only cure is more "Frozen."

That's right: Disney has announced an official sequel to "Frozen," albeit as a short film. Next spring sees the return of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf in the animated short "Frozen Fever," directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, and featuring an all-new original song from Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Disney describes the short as follows:

In "Frozen Fever," it's Anna's birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.

The upcoming animated short isn't the only way that "Frozen" is making a comeback in the very near future. Even sooner than "Frozen Fever," fans will see Elsa and Anna on-screen again in the form of "Once Upon a Time." The ABC fairy tale drama will bring the world and characters of "Frozen" to life as part of its upcoming season 4 story arc.

"Frozen Forever" debuts next spring.
