Icona Pop And Cobra Starship May Restore Your Faith In Love -- Or At Least Love Songs

This '90s flashback of a jam is infinitely danceable.

Summer is almost over and I don't know about the rest of you, but I kind of feel like we were sorely lacking a hot-months anthem. Well, that could all change today with Cobra Starship's "Never Been In Love" featuring Icona Pop, a catchy jam about finally finding your other half that was made for top-down summer road trips and backyard scream-alongs.

"I had been listening to a lot of early '90s U.K. artists -- Jesus Jones, EMF, George Michael," Saporta said of the Wallpaper.-produced track. "It was a time when bands first started incorporating break beats and electronic elements into their music. I had been trying to find a way to modernize that sound."

The aforementioned bands' brand of bombast (in a good way) is evident in "Never Been In Love" -- as is the influence of Fatboy Slim, as the jam features a sample from "Praise You." Anyone else getting flashbacks to suburban '90s summers? Just us old people? Moving on...

The band is currently in the studio working on new material, so we're guessing there's more where this tune came from. We'll keep an ear out for album #5 while listening to this on repeat in the meantime.
