Photographer Mason Colby simply wanted to capture some bald eagles eating fish heads (as one does), but ended up getting a whole lot more bang for his GoPro buck.
According to the description on his YouTube page, the Arkansas man dropped the camera near his discarded salmon parts to capture footage of the birds eating, but then one of the endangered birds swooped in and snagged the camera.
"It carried it up to a mile away and I lost sight of it," he wrote. "For four hours we searched in the rain until I finally found it and the camera was still intact."
The footage is edited into a two-and-a-half minute video, which features the heroic capture of the camera, some flying action and a whole lot of cute lil bird claw.
