Would You Microwave Your Clothes?

Ugh, laundry. It’s such an ordeal, amirite? It’s expensive and can take for-ev-er to dry (I’m looking at you, Egyptian cotton towels). Luckily, there’s a new way to freshen up your favorite ensemb’ without having to go through the full spin cycle. Meet Swash: an “in-home 10‑minute clothing care system,” which basically works like, well, a microwave for your wardrobe. Let us explain.

Swash

Basically, you hang your clothes inside a pod, which simultaneously releases a deodorizing spray and heat to de-wrinkle, refresh, and restore the fit of your favorite pieces in 10 minutes. Pretty sweet, huh? It’s sort of like having a personal dry cleaner… you know, minus billions of chemicals and awkward human interaction.

Swash

The only caveat? It doesn’t actually clean your clothes. Any visible soil (see: that boxed wine stain from last night) won’t come out in Swash, but it’s a great option if you’re in a time crunch and the iron just isn’t cutting it. Plus, you can put almost any fabric inside the machine, including sequins, wool, cashmere and lace. If you’ve got $500 to drop, you can snatch one right this second. Otherwise, we hope you like Febreze.
